Saintex is manufacturing group specializing in metal fabrication and processing for a range of industrial applications. The group operates around 50 sites worldwide and employs approximately 1,600 people.

The project at a glance

Saintex is a mid-market industrial manufacturer with a small IT team. Over the years, and through a series of joint IT projects, the group has forged a close partnership with Hardis Group, whose multidisciplinary team offers services ranging from initial technology consulting and recommendation based on business requirements, through to system deployment and operation.

  • Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure.
  • Secure data hosted across multiple systems and implement access security measures.
  • Quickly process and store ever-growing volumes of data of vastly different kinds.
  • Implement tools to better exploit data from multiple systems.

WORK PERFORMED

  • Operated and managed IBM i infrastructure, with a focus on system performance and availability.
  • Deployed a disaster recovery plan (DRP).
  • Deployed a data management platform for data processing and analytics.
  • Deployed Cato Networks’ Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform to optimize and secure online access to hybrid environments.
  • Migrated the existing mail system to Microsoft 365, and operated the new system.A
